- My web host has several layers of security in place on their servers including a firewall. In addition I have installed additional security plugins including an additional firewall. While we have done all in our power to prevent loss or misuse of visitor’s data, the possibility still exists that there may be an unanticipated security breach that we had no control over.
Confidentiality
- The information you provide to this site is maintained on a secure web server in what I believe to be a well protected environment. Your information is kept confidential and will not be shared with any outside party.
- Your information will never be sold to any outside party.
- Further, I will never share you information with anyone without your permission except when required by law where I have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process.

Registration
- Registration has been disabled. Therefore, you will not need to sign up and provide your email address to view/use Spoonful of Skinny.
Subscription/Newsletter
- If you subscribe to receive email alerts when a new blog post is published, you will need to provide your email address. I chose a service that is completely hosted on this site (my server). I will not sell your your email to outside companies. See the Security and Confidentially sections above.
- You can unsubscribe from receiving these email alerts at anytime and your subscriber email will be promptly removed from this site
Comments
- Anyone who chooses to leave a comment on a post will be required to provide their name and email address. The comment form is inherent in the wordpress platform. Please use only your first name or a nickname. Your email address will not be displayed to other visitors who read the comments; however, it will be visible to the site owner (admin). While your email address will remain with your comment, it will not be collected or used in any way.
- When visitors leave comments on the site, their data shown in the comments form, and their IP address and browser user agent string will be used for spam detection.
- An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here.
Media
- If you should upload an image(s) to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Other visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. There are free software applications available on the open web that you can download and use to remove embedded data from your images.
